Welcome to Mayachrome

Sometimes it takes a while to get a good thing going. I'm sure of that. I'll start by letting you all know that I intended to make this website a multi-author home. That said, it appears that it is harder to get writers involved in an interactive capacity with other authors. Sure, the meetup group for Science Fiction writers was fun for a while, but it broke up after a year, just when everything was looking up. So, here I am, flying solo, and you know what, it feels good. At least, for now it does.

For me, storytelling is something inherent in my DNA. The written word feels like the closest form or telepathy. So, I'm going it alone, but you all should know, if you want to tell stories, just email me. Tell me what you write about. Show me some of your favorite projects. We can do this together.

Some bit of background now; I love listening to podcasts, especially intense non-fiction, like Radiolab, Love and Radio, and last but not least, Real Ghost Stories online. I plan on eventually creating podcasts to each of the stories produced by me and any other authors who are up to the challenge and on target to be part of the Mayachrome family. I hope to set them all up here on this website. If you have ever read a story and said to yourself, "I could totally write a story at least as great as this," then send me an email. Show me what you have got. I'd love to work with other professionals. Storytelling is sacred. It is a visceral part of our world, and that is what I love about it.

In October, I hope to have my first book out. I'm tying up the final draft now, then two weeks to have it registered. Seedling Jack has been many years in the making. Truth is, I never really thought I could do it. But, I love how the story has turned out. In the spring of 2017, I will also be releasing a book of shudder-worthy short stories, "Useless, and other Stories." I promise, it will make you think twice about the things you do with your days. ;^)

Last on the list tonight, yes, I own the Mayachrome.com domain. I am in the process of moving it over to this new location very soon. Wix.com has some amazing tools and makes the whole thing a lot easier to control. Don't be shy, speak up and be heard. Leave a comment, ask a question, give me something to mull over.
